Topshop Cheeks in Luminescence Is Sticking It to MAC Nymphette - Makeup and Beauty Blog

Topshop Cheeks in Luminescence on cheeks

If y'all've spent sleepless nights (LOL! I well-nigh typed "knights." Yeah, someone'southward been obsessed with Game of Thrones lately.) tossing and turning over the need to find a cream blush version of MAC Nymphette Lipglass, every bit baroque every bit that might sound, you wouldn't exist the simply one.

I'k right there with ya, baby! 🙂 But go this: Topshop might finally have a cure for what ails us.

The line recently introduced three new creamy, multi-purpose sticks called Cheeks, $20 blush/highlighters designed to add shimmery color to faces, lips, bodies and — y'all guessed it — cheeks.

If they wait familiar, yous've got a good eye. Luminescence, a peachy pinkish with gilt pearl, must have a girl trounce on MAC Nymphette Lipglass because information technology'due south totally biting her style. It's a pretty close reproduction of the colour in stick blush course, and it glows on lips and cheeks. It and the other Cheeks are like thicker, creamier NARS Multiples that feel wetter to the bear on and cost about half equally much as their counterparts at NARS ($20 vs. $39 for a Multiple).

For a soft sheen, I'll dab the Luminescence stick lightly on my lips and cheeks, blending it in with a finger. And for a bolder effect, I'll apply one or two more layers (direct from the stick), again blending out the edges with a finger.

Whether atop bare skin or foundation, the formula adheres well to my combination dry/oily skin. I have noticed, though, that when my cheeks are oilier than usual, the color scoots right off, sometimes within minutes, only starting with a layer of primer (and ending with some powder) seems to take care of the problem.

One concluding matter: the gilt pearl in Luminescence has a trend to emphasize big pores and any flakes on lips and skin. Just something else to keep in mind.

With Cheeks, Topshop gets the price just correct, and I beloved this item color. Too bad Topshop couldn't encourage these to get forth better with oily and less-than-perfect skin.

PRICE: $20 each
AVAILABILITY: Available now at Topshop stores and besides online

Dudes…

Why are they so hard to shop for? El Hub and my brother both have birthdays coming up, and Father's Solar day is Sunday, yet I have NO FRICKIN' CLUE where to start. I judge I could e'er get with a gift carte, but where's the fun in that?

I suppose if I get drastic, I could order this NASCAR fruit sculpture thingy I saw on an Edible Arrangements commercial last night…

I dunno. Perchance if it were made out of smoked meat instead, haha!
